The Aspiring Home Buyers Profile from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) found that the American public is still somewhat confused about what is required to qualify for a home mortgage loan in today’s housing market. According to recently released data from the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the median number of days that a home spent on the market hit a new low of 26 days in April, as 57% of homes were on the market for under a month.NAR’s Chief Economist, Lawrence Yun, had this to say,“What is available for sale is going under contract at a rapid pace. Recently released data from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) suggests that now is a great time to sell your home. The concept of ‘supply & demand’ reveals that the best price for an item is realized when the supply of that item is low and the demand for that item is high.Let’s see how this applies to the current residential real estate market.SUPPLYIt is no secret that the supply of homes for sale has been far below the number needed to sustain a normal market for over a year at this point.
